Meet Jonah and Zoe

Jonah Roth-Verity

Jonah first discovered his love of bikes as a kid riding with his dad in Sonoma County. He graduated from Occidental College in 2022 with a degree in Media Studies and is also certified as a bicycle mechanic by the United Bicycle Institute in Ashland, Oregon.

He found his calling in outdoor education working as a California Climate Action Corps fellow at Eagle Rock Elementary School, developing curriculum and teaching in the native garden classroom.

Now, as the founder and lead instructor of Cyclekraft, he’s sharing his love for bicycles and the wonders of the outdoors with a new generation of young ones.

Zoe Alamillo

Zoe Alamillo is an environmental educator focused on youth engagement with California native plants. Zoe grew up in Los Angeles and was fortunate to have been introduced to many of the region's outdoor spaces as a kid. Through their degrees in Environmental Studies and Latino Studies, they learned how important access to nature is to children’s development.

By emphasizing compassion, agency, and stewardship, Zoe believes outdoor education can empower students to explore the natural world, understand their role within it, and take meaningful action toward its preservation.
